UK Water 2023

Under Pressure

About the event

The UK water sector remains firmly in the spotlight. Demands for action on sewage discharges only grow. Resources are also in focus as Ofwat’s 2025 price review approaches. In 2023, the world had its hottest summer since global records began and the Environment Agency says that there will not be enough water to match demand in 20 years, unless change is made. While investment needs are increasing, interest rates are higher and affordability has fallen in the face of a cost of living crisis. The financial resilience of water companies was again questioned following the departure of the former Thames Water CEO.

Join the Moody’s team and key industry figures to discuss key priorities, investment needs and what may need to change.
