Her deep understanding of the Central Asian financial landscape and her track record in building client relationships and navigating complex regulatory environments make her a fantastic fit for this role.

Young Kim is an AVP in Moody’s Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign Risk Group, based in Singapore. He is a lead analyst, covering sovereign portfolios and multilateral development banks in the Asia Pacific and CIS region, including the Philippines, Singapore, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, and other credits as well as institutions such as AIIB.

Previously, Young worked in Moody’s Financial Institutions Group, covering portfolios of nonbank financial institutions such as insurance, securities, and government-related entities in Korea and Hong Kong SAR. He also contributed to Moody’s ESG and sustainable finance team.

Before joining Moody’s, Young was a research officer at the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C., focusing on country risk and public finance in the Fiscal Affairs Department.

Young holds a master’s degree in international relations and international economics from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies.

Yasmina Serghini is a Managing Director in Moody’s Rating's Corporate Finance Group. She manages the teams in Madrid, Milan and Paris that are responsible for investment grade and high yield companies primarily in the TMT, retail, pharmaceutical, healthcare, food, packaged goods, railways and postal services industries.

Since joining Moody’s in 2005, Yasmina has been in charge of the credit ratings of automotive and truck manufacturers, retail, consumer packaged goods companies, including beverages and business services companies. Prior to joining Moody’s, Yasmina worked for Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne as a credit risk analyst where she had responsibilities for the analysis of companies mainly in the airlines, telecoms and real estate industries as well as aircraft and shipping financings. Yasmina is a CFA charterholder. 

She holds a Postgraduate Diploma (“DESS”) in Finance from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and has a university degree (majoring in Finance) from Dauphine University (Paris). She is fluent in English, French and Moroccan.

Ekaterina Lipatova is a Vice President – Senior Analyst at Moody’s, based in Dubai. She is responsible for ratings of corporate issuers in various sectors in CIS including oil&gas, infrastructure, consumer products, and others.

Ekaterina joined Moody’s in 2008 after working for VTB for 5 years, in Moscow, specialising in corporate lending and later in trade finance transactions. Ekaterina holds two Master degrees in Finance from the State Academy of Finance in Moscow and SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan.

Lev is an Assistant Vice President – Analyst at Moody’s Dubai office (UAE), covering financial institutions including Insurance companies and banks in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Prior to joining Dubai office in 2022, he worked for Moody’s Financial Institutions Group in Moscow, Russia and for Moody’s Credit Policy research group in New York. Lev holds an MBA in finance from Zicklyn School of Business (New York), and BBA degree in finance from Baruch College CUNY (New York).

Lena Gillich is an Assistant Vice President on the Sustainable Finance Assessments team, where she brings extensive experience in producing over 70 Second Party Opinions (SPOs) across diverse sectors, including corporates, financials, and (sub-)sovereigns. Her areas of expertise include green buildings, circular economy, and water & wastewater management.

Prior to joining Moody’s Ratings in 2021, Lena spent four years as a sustainability and management consultant in the DACH region, focusing on developing and implementing tailored ESG strategies for corporates in various industries.

Lena holds a master’s degree in Economics, specializing in Finance and Banking, from the University of Muenster in Germany. In 2023, she further enhanced her expertise by obtaining certification in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance from the Frankfurt School – FS-UNEP Collaborating Center.
