Djamal is a senior banker in the investment banking and direct-investment landscape in Southeast Asia, with over 30 years of experience in leadership roles in the region.

He was previously the co-founder of Lynx Asia Partners, a boutique investment and advisory company that invests globally. He was also Asia Head of Debt Origination and Private Financing at Nomura Singapore and SE Asia Head of Capital Markets & Treasury Services and Head of Investment Banking for Indonesia at Deutsche Bank Singapore. Djamal has also worked in the structured finance space with Citibank and Rabobank. Djamal was instrumental in the early development of Indonesian bond market.

Djamal holds a BA in International Economics from University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, the Netherlands.

Atul Jhavar is Head of Southeast Asia Capital Markets Origination at Barclays.

Based in Singapore, Atul is responsible for the bank’s capital markets origination business in Southeast Asia, across debt capital markets (DCM), leveraged & acquisition finance, structured credit and equity-linked financing. He also supports the firm’s sustainable capital markets business in Asia-Pacific by working with partners in DCM and fixed income syndicate to originate, structure and execute ESG-labelled debt products in the region. Atul has 20 years of experience in the Asian capital markets and has spent most of his career in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Atul has a degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Leonard Ng is Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets, ASEAN at Standard Chartered Bank, with more than two decades of regional capital markets experience. Before re-joining Standard Chartered Bank in 2023, Leonard was Chief Executive Officer of BNI Securities where he built and led the international capital markets franchise, across primary and sales & trading, for BNI.

In his previous stint with Standard Chartered Bank from 2018 to 2021, Leonard was a senior originator with the Capital Markets, ASEAN team. Leonard has also held prior capital markets roles at ANZ, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Thu Ha Chow is Head of Fixed Income Asia based in Singapore. She is also a Portfolio Manager in the Rotterdam based Credit Team with a focus on Asian Credit. Prior to joining Robeco in 2022, Ms. Chow was Portfolio Manager and Asia Credit Strategist at Loomis Sayles & Co and Head of Asian Credit at Aberdeen Asset Management, both in Singapore. Previously, she worked for 15 years in London where she held senior fixed income positions at Deutsche Asset Management and Threadneedle Asset Management, in addition to three years in investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston.

She started her career in 1996 after obtaining a BSc in Economics and a Master’s in Economics and Philosophy both from the London School of Economics.

Laura Acres is Managing Director for the Corporate Finance Group for Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, she has overall responsibility for Moody’s corporate ratings and research for the region, managing teams of analysts in Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo.

Laura joined the company in 2006 taking a number of Lead Analyst roles for a variety of corporates around the region. She also created Moody’s aggregated high-yield research and outreach initiatives for the Asia Pacific region as well as Moody’s global Emerging Markets data-led research suite. She was appointed Managing Director in 2015 and led the Singapore based South & South-East Asia corporate rating teams and was then appointed to her current role in 2020.

Before joining Moody’s, Laura worked for Schroders PLC in London and Singapore, and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in Singapore, where she specialized in corporate restructuring and recovery throughout Southeast Asia.

Laura holds a BSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Vikash Halan is a Managing Director and team leader for Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, based in Singapore. In this role, he manages a team of rating analysts covering non-financial corporates in Asia Pacific excluding greater China.

Vikash joined Moody’s in 2011 and, prior to becoming a team leader, spent almost a decade as a lead analyst covering a range of sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, shipping, conglomerates, real estate and investment holding companies.

 Before joining Moody’s, Vikash worked for J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong as a capital markets and ratings advisor for clients in the Asia-Pacific region. He started his career as a chartered accountant with the Indian firm, BDO Lodha.

Vikash holds post graduate diploma in Business management form Xavier Institute of Management.

Clement Wong is a Managing Director and team leader with Moody’s Ratings Corporate Finance Group. Based in Hong Kong, he oversees a team of rating analysts covering Chinese industrial corporate entities in sectors including internet, technology, auto, chemicals, food and beverage and more. He and his team are also actively involved in Moody’s Greater China investor outreach activities and have been authoring sector- , issuer- and credit trend-specific research reports.

Clement is an auditor by training with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte. He has over 20 years of credit experience in the banking industry.

Prior to joining Moody’s in 2014, he was Country Credit Officer for Wholesale Banking in Hong Kong and Japan at Standard Chartered. Clement has also worked for several international banks, including Citibank, where he helped set up the commercial banking risk management team in China while stationed in Shanghai for almost five years. During his time at Citibank Shanghai, he also collaborated with other teams to build the bank’s framework for lending and approving credits; and before relocation to Shanghai, as Senior Credit Officer, worked on assessing large corporates’ credit exposure; and had been in charge of problem loan recovery for small-medium-sized companies.

Clement holds a Master’s degree in International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Social Science degree from The University of Hong Kong. He is also a CFA charterholder and a CPA.

Ning Loh is Managing Director, Global Head of Credit Strategy at Moody’s Ratings, based in Hong Kong. In this role, he is responsible for defining, articulating and promoting Moody’s global house views on credit drivers, macroeconomic forecasts, financial markets and emerging markets dynamics. Concurrently, he is also Chief Credit Officer for APAC and works with rating groups throughout the region to develop Moody’s perspectives and research regarding macroeconomic, policy, and thematic trends that affect credit risk.

Since joining Moody’s in London in 2005, Ning has held roles across various markets and rating groups in Europe, Asia, and the US. In 2015, he moved to Hong Kong to lead the structured finance new ratings franchise for South and Southeast Asia. In 2018, Ning led the U.S. Corporate Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) team. He later returned to Hong Kong to head the North Asia (excluding Japan) team in the Project & Infrastructure Finance Group before taking on his current position.

Before joining Moody’s, Ning practiced law in London, specialising in structured finance and debt capital markets. Ning holds a Master's in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London and is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.

Gary Lau is the Managing Director for the Corporate Finance Group in Hong Kong. Gary manages analytical teams in Hong Kong, covering corporate ratings in North Asia (ex-Japan). He has extensive experience with Moody’s in analytical and management positions with responsibilities across different industries and geographies. He has been with Moody’s since 1998.

Before joining Moody’s, Gary worked for Barclays Bank Plc and Bank of America in the Financial Institutions and Corporate Banking Divisions.

He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Social Science, both from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Jacintha Poh is an Executive Director for the Corporate Finance Group at Moody's, based in Singapore. She leads a team of analysts who are responsible for Moody's nonfinancial corporate ratings and research in the South and Southeast Asia region.

Jacintha joined Moody's in 2012 taking several Lead Analyst roles, where she demonstrated her ability to execute complex analyses across a diverse range of sectors, including real estate, hospitality, and investment holding companies.

Before joining Moody's, Jacintha worked for Lion Global Investors, where she served as a Credit Analyst on the Fixed Income team. Jacintha holds an honors BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of London.

Ray Tay is an Executive Director and team leader for Moody’s Project and Infrastructure Finance team for South and South-East Asia. In this role, based in Singapore, he oversees the ratings team responsible for Moody’s extensive coverage across the project finance and infrastructure sectors, including transport infrastructure, power & utilities, and credit enhanced issuances.

Ray is also the Franchise Lead for Digital Infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region. This role sits across various rating groups and oversees our growing portfolio in this fast-moving infrastructure sector. Ray serves as a single point of contact for our analytical coverage of Data centers and other Digital Infrastructure in this region.

Ray is passionate about topics such as project bonds and the role of funding diversity and credit enhancement in bridging the infrastructure gap, particularly in emerging markets.

Before joining Moody’s in 2012, Ray was a Director with the Global Infrastructure & Projects Group in KPMG. Ray has also worked as a Senior Business Analyst with the Singapore Power Group.

Lina Choi is an Executive Director with the Corporate Finance Group for Moody’s Investors Service HK Ltd. She covers a portfolio of Chinese corporates in various sectors, including Internet, technology, food and beverage.

Before joining Moody’s, Lina worked as a senior investment analyst for AllianceBernstein Holdings LP, a US asset management company. She covered Chinese equities in the telecoms, media and technology sectors. Lina has also worked as an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley’s Equity Research Division, overseeing the Asian telecommunications industry.

Lina has an BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. She is a CFA charter holder.

Christian de Guzman is a Senior Vice President with Moody’s Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign Risk Group. Based in Singapore, he covers a portfolio of sovereigns in Asia Pacific, while also managing the team responsible for sub-sovereign ratings in Asia ex-China.

Christian joined Moody’s in 2009, after working as a Senior Economist for the Monetary Authority of Singapore, covering ASEAN economies. He has also held various positions with the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, and Procter & Gamble in Singapore.

Christian graduated from the University of Georgia and holds a postgraduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.

Kaustubh Chaubal is a Senior Vice President with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Singapore, he covers a portfolio of Indian and India-based issuers in the metals and mining (ferrous and non-ferrous), automobile, chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries.

Prior to joining Moody’s in 2015, Kaustubh spent eight years as a Ratings Advisor with Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, the last two of which was as Head of ASEAN Ratings Advisory, while also covering issuers in the Middle East and Africa.

Kaustubh has also worked as a Senior Analyst at Standard & Poor’s India-based subsidiary, CRISIL, covering a broad array of industries including pharmaceuticals, building materials, chemicals, and investment holding companies. And, he has previously held analytical roles at ING Vysya Bank and Unit Trust of India Investment Advisory Services, as well as auditing roles at RM Ajgaonkar & Company and RD Samant & Company.

Kaustubh holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University. He is also a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Natasha Brereton-Fukui is Senior Vice President, Global Sustainable Finance Research, at Moody’s Ratings in Singapore.

In addition to driving Moody’s Ratings’ global thought leadership on sustainable and transition finance, Natasha oversees overall research content in the Asia-Pacific region. As co-chair of Moody’s APAC Minds Business Resource Group, she also champions mental and physical health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Before joining Moody’s in 2014, Natasha spent more than a decade in journalism, based in Tokyo, London and Singapore, chiefly with Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. She was named “Journalist of the Year” in the 2009 UK Institutional Press Awards.

Natasha has a BA in Chinese Studies (Hons) from the University of Oxford and was a Daiwa Scholar from 2002-4. She holds the CFA's Certificate in Climate and Investing.

Nidhi Dhruv is a Vice President with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Singapore, Nidhi covers a portfolio of issuers across the telecommunications, telecom towers, mining, construction and airline industries in South and Southeast Asia.

Before joining Moody’s in 2007, Nidhi was an analyst with Citigroup Investment Banking in India and Singapore for three years. 

Nidhi is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She also has an MBA in Finance from Mumbai University.

Rachel Chua is a Vice President with the Corporate Finance Group in Singapore. She covers a portfolio of high-profile investment grade companies in Southeast Asia, with a focus on government related issuers. During her time at Moody’s, Rachel has led coverage of various sectors across the region including oil and gas, mining and property.

Before joining Moody’s in 2012, Rachel was with KPMG Corporate Finance, where she advised clients on financing infrastructure transactions.

Rachel holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Sim Hui Ting is a Vice President based in Singapore with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group.

Hui Ting joined Moody’s in 2017 and has covered a range of industries including oil and gas, chemicals, metals and mining, shipping, technology as well as real estate.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Hui Ting worked in credit risk roles at Noble Resources International Pte Ltd and PetroChina International (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

Hui Ting holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) from the National University of Singapore. She is also a CFA charter-holder.

Deborah Tan is a Vice President within Moody’s Credit Strategy and Guidance Group. Based in Singapore, she leads Moody’s thematic research for India, Southeast Asia and Australia with a focus on producing forward-looking macro-credit insights and outlooks. Her responsibilities also include designing scenario analysis to test the resilience of Moody’s rating methodologies and assessing the impact of these scenarios. 

Prior to joining Moody’s in 2019, Deborah was a macroeconomist at BHP Billiton where she covered both India and the US and led the Group’s interest rate, FX and long-term growth projections for key markets. She has also worked at the Monetary Authority of Singapore and PWC. 

Deborah holds a master’s in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor of science in Economics from University College London.

Ivy Poon is a Vice President with Moody’s in Hong Kong. She covers corporate ratings in a portfolio of power and gas utilities companies and conglomerates in Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Ivy worked for KBC Bank N.V., as a credit assistant manager and a senior marketing officer.

Ivy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accounting from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also an affiliate member of CPA.

Shirley Zhang is a Vice President in Sustainable Finance Credit at Moody’s Ratings, based in Singapore.
She focuses on ESG integration into credit ratings and leads thought leadership research and outreach across APAC. Shirley is also a core member of Moody’s Development Finance Working Group with a dedicated focus on topics such as blended finance and credit enhancement in bridging the transition financing gap.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Shirley served as Director in Standard Chartered Bank’s Investment Banking practice, advising on transition-related financing and M&A transactions across the Power Utilities and Infrastructure sectors. She also spent 15 years as a research analyst at Wood Mackenzie, CCB International, and Credit Suisse, covering the Energy and Metals & Mining sectors.

Shirley holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Warwick, majoring in Accounting and Finance.

Erman Zhang is an Assistant Vice President in Moody’s Project and Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Singapore, she covers project and infrastructure credits in South and Southeast Asia.

Erman has several years of experience in infrastructure and asset finance. Prior to joining Moody’s, she worked in Mizuho Bank’s Singapore branch, covering a portfolio of major shipping companies. Erman’s previous roles included being a manager at the Singapore branch of bank of China, covering infrastructure and project finance in Southeast Asia, and being a corporate relationship manager at HSBC China.

Erman holds an MBA from the Nanyang Technology University in Singapore, a Master of Science in Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Sun Yat-Sen University in China. Erman is also a CFA charterholder.

Chelsia is an Assistant Vice President with Moody’s Ratings Project and Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Singapore, she covers project finance, transport, utilities and other infrastructure companies in Southeast Asia and India.

Before joining Moody’s, Chelsia worked at Ernst & Young Singapore for the Strategy and Transactions team, where she carried out financial due diligence for private equity and corporate clients in Asia Pacific.

Chelsia holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University. She is also a CFA charter holder.

Anthony Prayugo is an Assistant Vice President with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group.

Based in Singapore, Anthony covers a diversified portfolio of companies in Southeast Asia across the real estate, gaming, and mining sectors.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Anthony was a credit analyst in a research institution covering listed corporates.

Anthony holds postgraduate and bachelor degrees from the National University of Singapore.

Sweta Patodia is an Assistant Vice President in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Singapore, Sweta covers a diversified portfolio of Indian corporates across the oil and gas, technology start-ups and IT sectors.

Sweta joined Moody’s in 2014 as an Associate Analyst. Prior to joining Moody’s, Sweta worked as a Credit Analyst for over three years at HSBC in India.

Sweta is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and a CFA charter holder.

Yu Sheng Tay is an Assistant Vice President based in Singapore with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. He covers a portfolio of companies in Southeast Asia across the real estate, palm oil, consumer products, and technology sectors.

Yu Sheng joined Moody’s in 2018 as an Associate Analyst. Prior to joining Moody’s, he worked as a credit analyst in a financial institution.

Yu Sheng holds a postgraduate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Stefan is an Assistant Vice President in the Moody’s Ratings Project and Infrastructure Finance team, based in Singapore. He covers a portfolio in Southeast Asia and India across sectors including utilities, renewables and transport infrastructure.

Prior to relocating to Singapore, Stefan led a team of Rating Associates in North Asia, supporting the Project and Infrastructure Finance teams as well as other lines of business. Earlier at Moody’s Ratings in London, he covered utilities and infrastructure finance credits as an Associate Analyst.

Before joining Moody’s, he worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland as an Assistant Director in Coverage, focused on Energy, Infrastructure and Industrials.

He holds an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc in Business Economics and Finance from Loughborough University and is a CFA charterholder.

Tushar is an Assistant Vice President in Moody’s Project and Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Singapore. He covers utilities, transport infrastructure and project finance credits in India and Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Tushar worked as a Credit Analyst in Kotak Mahindra Bank in Mumbai, covering project and infrastructure finance, mainly in the Roads and Power space.

Previous roles also includes that of a Credit Analyst in Axis Bank and ICICI Bank.

 Tushar is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He Holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Jai Narain Vyas University.
